Dependences for the vibro-speed and acoustic power levels are detected. It is established that abatement of noise can be achieved only by decreasing the vibrational energy loss factor.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Приведены расчет спектров вибрации и шума при обработке шарико-стержневым упрочнителем коробчатых деталей и результаты теоретических исследований виброакустических характеристик данного вида обработки. Получены зависимости для определения уровней виброскорости и звуковой мощности.
