The paper is devoted to the analytical determination of general criteria for predicting the wear resistance of heavily loaded friction couples, in particular, stamping tools, operating under various loading conditions. The proposed system of criteria is based on physical dependencies that link the basic wear index, i.e. the number of loading cycles NF with crack resistance parameters n and C. The work objectives were the development and analytical foundation of the calculation technique that provides for predicting the wear resistance of the stamping tool for various loading conditions, as well as the predetermination of experimental verification of the efficiency of the developed methodology.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and Methods</title><p>Materials and Methods. Mathematical models that link the key criterion of wear-resistance, the number of loading cycles NF with crack resistance parameters nand C, are proposed. An analytical verification of the proposed models is carried out.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Mathematical models are developed for predicting the wear resistance of a stamping tool operating under various loading conditions. In particular, for the following cases: under sliding and rolling friction of the tool on a plastically deformable metal, for conditions of thermo-mechanical contact fatigue, for high-cycle brittle contact damaging, for pulsating contact on a plastically deformable metal, as well as for combined types of frictional contact. </p><p>Discussion and Conclusions. The results obtained can be used in the design and structural optimization of the stamping tool operating under various loading conditions, as well as in predicting its life cycle.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><sec><title>Введение</title><p>Введение. Статья посвящена аналитическому определению общих критериев для прогнозирования износостойкости тяжелонагруженных пар трения, в частности, штамповочного инструмента, работающих при различных условиях нагружения. В основу предложенной системы критериев положены физические зависимости, связывающие основной показатель износостойкости — число циклов нагружения NF с параметрами трещиностойкости n и C.</p><p>Целями работы являлись разработка и аналитическое обоснование расчетной методики, позволяющей прогнозировать износостойкость штамповочного инструмента для различных условий нагружения, а также создание предпосылок для экспериментального подтверждения эффективности применения разработанной методики.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. Предложены математические модели, связывающие основной критерий износостойкости — число циклов нагружения NF c параметрами трещиностойкости n и C. Проведено аналитическое обоснование предложенных моделей.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты исследования</title><p>Результаты исследования. Разработаны математические модели для прогнозирования износостойкости штамповочного инструмента, работающего в различных условиях нагружения. В частности, для случаев: при трении скольжения и качения инструмента о пластически деформируемый металл, для условий термомеханической контактной усталости, многоцикловой хрупкой контактной повреждаемости, пульсирующего контакта о пластически деформируемый металл, а также для комбинированных разновидностей фрикционного контакта.</p></sec><sec><title>Обсуждение и заключения</title><p>Обсуждение и заключения.
