The application of the kinking coordinate and tangent angle on the eigenform graphs under the transition through the damage point as a complex diagnostic property of the location and bar damage degree is offered.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Представлены результаты численного конечно-элементного анализа и натурного эксперимента форм колебаний консольного упругого стержня с надрезом.
