MATHEMATICAL PREDICTION MODEL OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD IMPACT ON OPERATION STABILITY OF RADIAL BEARING WORKING ON CONDUCTING GAS LUBRICATION

Abstract

The technique of the hydrodynamic calculation of the gasdynamic journal bearing working on the conducting gas lubrication is presented. The analytical prediction problem on the friction bearing operation stability is solved. The assessment of the effect of Hartmann number, the gas compressibility parameter, and the electric str ess parameter on the bearing basic operation factors is given.
