Dr.Sci. (Engineering), professor
Training
Batyr M. Yazyev completed his education programme at the Faculty of Industrial and Civil Engineering, Turkmen Polytechnic Institute (1984).
Job Title
Professor of the Strength of Materials Department, Don State Technical University, Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
Scientific Activities
Prof. Yazyev has studied the effects of particulate fillers on the rheological, structural and mechanical properties of composite materials based on a rigid cross-linked plastic binder; test methods and analysis of the results with the aim of its possible extrapolation to other types of materials; the effect of direct heterogeneity of the major physicomechanical characteristics, both elastic and relaxation, on the stress-strain state of creeping rotation bodies.
He has developed methods for calculating and conducting experimental studies of indirect inhomogeneity affecting the elastic and inelastic deformation constants of rigid net plastic rods; and analysis of the effect of speed and temperature change cycle on the heat stress magnitude and kinetics. On the basis of the variation-difference formulation of an effective and rational design procedure, he has developed an algorithm for the numerical implementation of the axisymmetric problem of thermoviscoelasticity considering two-dimensional inhomogeneity of the material. He has developed the technique for solving the problem of thermoviscoelasticity for a multilayer cylinder in a flat axisymmetric formulation with account of the continuous heterogeneity of the mechanical characteristics of each layer; methods for calculating inhomogeneous polymer cylinders considering the technological anisotropy of the material.
