Abstract
A new algorithm for computing laminar flame in the combustible m ixture is suggested. The work differs from the known optimization algorithms in the accurate solution approximation method – the realistic form of not the temperature field itself, but of its derivative with respect to the self - simulated variable is postul ated. As a result, the effective model parameter determination procedure is simplified, and the approximation error remains at the acceptable value

Abstract
The problem of increasing the cache system efficiency using the adaptive vector control of the stoch a s tic hybrid caching algorithm is investigated. The mathematical model of the abstract one - level caching system permitting to describe the known replacement strategies, including those which use object sizes for calculating their cache rating, is considered. This model is used in the mathematical cache - system model with the controlled stochastic hybridiz ation of several basic caching algorithms. The adaptive co n trol scheme of the stochastic hybrid caching algorithm permitting to shorten ten times the adaptation time compared to the previously considered methods at the e x pense of abandoning the direct solution to the performanc e criterion maximization problem at the preceding route section is presented. The known replacement strategies with the description of their operation fundamentals are surveyed. The chosen investigative techniques and the performed methods structure are ch aracterized. The comparison r esults of the obtained replacement strat e gies productivity on the non - stationary routes composed of the quasi stationary sections o b tained on the base of 20/80 Zipf’s distribution law are presented.

Abstract
The model for accounting deformations occurring in the wheel - be aring friction units is presented. The model pe rmits to estimate the effect of the tangential deformation dynamics in the wheel - rail system on the pulling force dynamics applied to the wheel centre of inertia. The obtained mathematical app a ratus describe s the friction unit system dynamics before the grip break

Abstract
The problem on improving precision properties of the fast approx imate algorithms without sacrifice of their resource properties is set. A multiple - purpose approach to the application of the modified Rom a novsky algorithm (MRA) and the selective - permutation method (SPM) for solving homogeneous allocation problems (HAP) i s proposed. The a pproach is based on the approximate solution improvement o b tained by the modified Romanovsky algorithm through the selected operation exchange between exec u tors. The comparative analysis with such approximate algorithms as the critical pat h technique (CPT) and the evolutional genetic algorithm (EGA) is carried out. The computational e xperiments at different problem parameter values are conducted. The combined application of the MRA a nd SPM for the mo d est dimension HAP solution permits to re ach rather high resource - precision figures in comparison to other approximate algorithms. However, at the higher problem dimensions, the SPM not even once improved th e sol utions obtained by the MRA, which most likely, is caused by the MRA high precision pr operties. That is why the a ppropriateness of the MRA and SPM application to the high dimension HAP sol u tion invites fur ther investigations.

Abstract
The three - dimensional static problem of the elasticity theory on the elastic layer balance weakened by a flat rectangular crack is considered. The crack is located in the median la yer plane; it is su p ported open under the normal loading applied to its edges. The layer edges are under the smooth contact with two rigid bases. The problem is converted to the solution of the known singular i n tegro - differential equation concerning the cr ack opening function through the application of two - dimensional integral Fourier transformation to the equilibrium equation. The equation solution is constructed by the direct variational method. In neighborhood of the contour angular points, the sol ution completes the co n struction numerically, with regard for the early distinguished singularity. Values of the direct str ess intensity factor in neighborhood of the crack periphery are obtained. The solution behavioral features in neig hborhood of the contour r ectilinear sites and angular points are esta b lished.

The problem areas requiring the intellectual support for solving optimization tasks are considered. The adaptive algorithm of the optimization tasks solution support on the basis of the linguistic commands is deve loped. Both a ccurate and fuzzy parameter ch aracteristics of the calculating process could be associated to the commands.

Abstract
The global character of the environmental safety problems involves the necessity to seek new nonconv entional ways of science development which could protect the civilization from the world disaster. The concep t of cosm ohar mony relying on the unity of the fundamental and philosophical knowledge brings about a new world ou tlook. These very prob lems are discussed in the paper making it possible to present the contours of the nontraditional development of the environmental sust ainability principles based on the system interpretation of the crisis pro blems.

The authors competence - oriented approach concept in higher education is based on the choice of the moral and spiritual priorities. The identification of the upbringing competences, which university educational process sub jects should possess, is considered from this perspective. The authors treatment of the basic concepts, te rms, and defin itions is given. Two priority - oriented matrices on whose basis the real development level of the competences in u pbringing is measured a re given.
